There are many fans out there that would love to be able to play the classic C&C (also know as 'Tiberian Dawn') and the classic Red Alert and Expansion Packs on Windows XP.

I sat down and over a period of 2 days spending well over 14 hours testing every possible method with every possible patch for the original C&C and Red Alert series.

I have now managed to get for the following to work:
Command and Conquer - CD Required
Command and Conquer + Covert Operations - CD Required
Red Alert - CD Required
Red Alert - No-CD Required
Red Alert + Both Expansions - CD Required
Red Alert + Both Expansions - No-CD Required

NOTE: It is NOT possible to get the DOS version of C&C or Red Alert working. The original Red Alert came with two version on the CD, DOS and Windows 95 so any copy of Red Alert will be fine but C&C is only possible with the re-release made to run on Windows 95, Sorry.

Please take your time to choose a option below as there are many different ways of getting this to work depending on what you have.

Red Alert + Expansion Packs - CD Support Required - No Game Update
Requires: Red Alert, Counterstrike and Aftermath CD's

My next goal is to get Command and Conquer + Covert Operations to work without CD. I will then attempt to get Tiberian Sun to work under more recent resolution settings, i heard it was possible so i want to do :)

I have also gotten Red Alert + Expansion Packs with No-CD Support Required and Game Update 3.03. I originally thought since this was never an official update it wouldn't have been support for it, but i was wrong. I will get a guide written up for this sometime soon.
