Red Alert - CD Support Required - Latest Game Updates 1.08 + 4 Player Online Patch (Optional)

This is to install Red Alert and Red Alert only! It is not possible to get any of the expansions to work after you have gotten this working. If this is not want you wanted please go back to the main page and choose another option more suited to you.

Red Alert

  1. Download Red Alert Manager .98
  2. Insert you Red Alert CD in your CD-Rom (Either CD 1 or 2)
  3. Double click 'RedAlert_Manager0.98.exe'
  4. Click 'Next'
  5. Click 'Extract'
  6. When asked 'Do you want to launch "RASETUP.EXE" now?' click 'Yes'
  7. Click 'Ok'
  8. This directory listed (C:\Games\Redalert) is the default install directory, if you wish to install to a different directory type it here or click the button to the right of this with the 3 dots on it to browse where to install it.
  9. Tick every box except for 'Tick this box if you still want to install WOL API' and 'Remove CD Protection (usefull if you have problems with your CD)'
  10. Click 'Apply'
  11. Wait for the next option to pop-up then click 'No'
  12. Wait until the 'Complete' box comes up then click 'Ok'
  13. Wait and the program will automatically eject your CD for you
  14. You will then POSSIBLE be prompted with a message about not having to use your scratched disc again, Click 'Ok'
    If you dont get this dont worry, it dosen't effect anything.
  15. Close Red Alert Manager by clicking the 'X' in the top corner.

 

To Add a Desktop Shortcut

  1. Go into installation directory, default is C:\Games\Redalert
  2. Right click on 'Ra95.exe' and select 'Copy'
  3. Go to Desktop, right click and select 'Paste Shortcut'
  4. Right click on shortcut, select 'Rename' and type 'Red Alert'

 

Red Alert is now installed. To play simply put the Red Alert CD in your CD-Rom drive and run the desktop shortcut.
